Discriminations prohibited by the Charter

The Charter of Rights and Freedoms of Quebec discerns 13 grounds on which a person may be discriminated against:

Chapter 1.1.

The right to equal recognition and exercise of rights and freedoms

Article 10

"Everyone is entitled to recognition and the exercise, in full equality, of rights and freedoms without distinction or preference based on: race, colour, sex, age, except in measurements provided by law, religion, language, ethnic or national origin, social status, sexual orientation, disability or means to compensate for the disability, political beliefs, marital status, pregnancy."
