On April 24, take a stand.

Wear two different shoes and send a powerful message against bullying. Let’s show that even in our differences, it’s possible to move forward together.

ENSEMBLE for the Respect of Diversity and PACT! are joining forces to launch the very first edition of “Mismatched Pair Day.”

A simple, accessible gesture for everyone, a movement to spark essential conversations about respect, inclusion, and living together across the country

Why it matters

In 2025, 65% of elementary and high school students in Quebec reported experiencing at least one form of violence, including bullying, racism, sexism, cyberbullying, or homophobia.

Across Canada, nearly 70% of youth aged 12 to 17 report having been exposed to bullying situations.

These realities remind us of one thing: we must act. Every action counts. Let’s wear the change

Partners making a difference

For this first edition, several organizations and companies have already confirmed their participation, including L’Oréal Canada, ALDO, Air Canada, and the Purge LGBT Fund, mobilizing their teams around this initiative.

The movement will also gain international visibility through ALDO’s engagement, amplifying it across all its platforms.

Initiatives are also planned in schools to raise awareness among youth about the importance of respect, inclusion, and living together.

To take part in the awareness campaign in another way, the public is also invited to make a symbolic $2 donation to the mission of ENSEMBLE for the Respect of Diversity. Up to five organizations will be selected to receive 50% of the funds raised, in order to support complementary initiatives on the ground.

Public figures joining the movement

Public figures from here and beyond are also stepping up to amplify the message of Impossible Pair Day. By lending their voice and image to this initiative, they help spark important conversations around bullying, respect, and the richness of our differences.
